[Q] Configured for Snapdragon?

In the market to but a new laptop to replace my 7yo one.

Might be in the market to buy a Co-pilot PC with Snapdragon Elite ARM processors. Will CMO fail to work on this type of system?

If so, does CMO run smoother on Intel (i9 or Ultra) or AMD (Ryzen 7 or 9) chips?

We don't know if CMO will run successfully on a Snapdragon-X system as we have not yet tested it on such hardware; sorry!

On x86 platforms, CMO runs equally well on Intel and AMD systems. It is a very CPU-intensive application if you are running large, complex scenarios (GPU requirements are very tame), so if your hardware choice is going to be primarily driven by CMO usage it may make sense to opt for the most CPU-powerful system with just an adequate GPU.

(AMD systems in particular have pretty powerful integrated GPUs, easily covering CMO's requirements and thus making a discrete GPU unnecessary. But again this assumes you'll run CMO and little else.)

Hope this helps.

This is the benchmark thread started by DmitriyBlade.

Of course this new processor is not tested yet.

But you may draw some conclusions from this early test, because one of the applications is native while the other is emulated, like what would happen with CMO.

Because of the obfuscation system CMO is using, I doubt it will work on any architecture besides x86.

Ta all. Too many reports of x86 programs not working on Snapdragon.
