Oddball. He is me and I am him. One of my favorite characters on the big screen, or little screens nowadays.....

Rest in Peace, Donald Sutherland. You are one of the greats!

For sure, glad someone started this thread.
Sutherland already made my Gold Records.

Liam Devlin and the Eagle Has Landed.
Top #10 movie of all time, bold statement.
I can watch that flick over & over again.
Michael Cain, Molly, Mrs. Gray, Larry Hagman, Duvall.
The Plot.
Legit story.
Great combat.
The church, the tunnel, motorcycle, beach, bar scene.
Nazis, Churchill, and alternate plot.
Don't forget the dog whistle.

"Col. Steiner, you're an extraordinary judge of character." --Devlin

"It's all right, Father, I'm just telling him about the Holy Trinity. You know it? Footwork, timing, and hitting! And a little bit of dirty work. Learn these, my uncle'd say, and you'll inherit the Earth as surely as the meek." --Devlin

Far as Sutherland. Yes, he is Liam, and Oddball.
Anyone from our era, loves Oddball.
Animal House as the Professor, small part, great flick.
I was in a Frat, back in the glory days, before my preacher days.
Donald (my 2nd favorite Don), was fortunate to be in some classics.

"Always with the negative waves Moriarty, always with the negative waves." --Oddball

"We see our role as essentially defensive in nature. While our armies are advancing so fast and everyone's knocking themselves out to be heroes, we are holding ourselves in reserve in case the Krauts mount a counteroffensive which threatens Paris... or maybe ever New York. Then we can move in and stop them. But for 1.6 million dollars, we could become heroes for three days." --Oddball

Kiefer, his son, an absolute Legend in the hit Fox-TV series 24 ---> Jack Bauer.
I can hear the clock ticking.
Kiefer, also, is Lt. Kendrick, yet another of my All-Time favorite characters.

"He had no code, no honor, and God was watching" --Lt. Kendrick

"I have 2 books by my bedside, the Marine Handbook and the King James Bible" --Lt. Kendrick

I will award the medal. Liam Devlin, here receives the Irish Military Medal for Gallantry.
Salute.

Mrs. Gray, another doll. Excellent Nazi Spy. She had a date with Larry Hagman, J.R. Ewing.
Be nice to her, and don't go upstairs to her private quarters.
