BUG:APC auto cannon not fire enemy APC

Our APC is 1000 meters away from the enemy APC, AP value is 10. The enemy APC armor did not reach 10, but our APC did not fire with an auto cannon. just watched the enemy APC until the end of the turn
Note that both APC have not moved, but remain in place. Once one moves, they will immediately be attacked by the opposing auto cannon, but if they do not move, even if they discover the other, they will not fire
I also tested some other weapons with an AP value of no more than 10 and found that this situation is common, where the AP value is greater than the opponent APC armor value and the opponent is detected, but they will not fire

We do factor in range reducing AP value, so that could be the reason it isn't firing. It could also be a matter of them not having positive identification of the target. APCs not moving often have a detection range short of 1km. If you can upload a save file for us to look at as an example that would be helpful.

Back from Origins, I downloaded the save. Thanks for the extra troubleshooting. I'll investigate this issue this week. We have seen a similar issue some time back, but it seems to be back. I'm unsure if this is a sensor-spotting glitch where the contact should be "lost," or if it is more like we know something is there, but we don't have a line of fire to the target. Less likely is an AP versus armor glitch in the combat shot selection routine. Whatever it is, we will hunt it down and kill it.

I can confirm 100% that this is related to the weapon's AP value, because if you increase the AP value of the Auto Cannon to 20, under the same conditions, M2 Bradley will immediately eliminate BMP-2
The reason why I removed ATGM is because the HEAT value of ATGM far exceeds 20. In the same situation, M2 Bradley will immediately use ATGM to eliminate BMP-2
The reason why I removed infantry is also because M2 Bradley would use Auto Cannon to attack enemy infantry instead of BMP-2, and after eliminating all infantry, M2 Bradley would not use Auto Cannon to attack BMP-2 anymore
So this not related to sensor
It's not related to LOS either
Only related to AP or HEAT values and enemy armor values

save is here
All other situations and conditions are the same as the previous test, except for an AP value of 20

Thanks for the additional details. I will focus on the combat routine as that appears to be the glitch with your testing.
