WiTE2 Editor Ques re: units

hey folks
in the original WITE, you could edit unit strengths/values direct from the MAP mode by right clicking on a unit, and then having access to be able to change their unit counts, readiness, fatigue, morale, etc. Also allowed you to 'clone' and copy/paste additional units (like NKVS Railroad Brigades) into blank unit spots.
In the new WITE2, I seem NOT to be able to do this from MAP mode. I can do SOME unit editing from the UNIT tab on the main menu of the editor, but once I go to map mode the unit vallues are locked.
Is there any way around this? Its much more user friendly to be able to do this editing from the map than from the entire OOB unit list.
