Noob technical help needed

Hello, I just purchased WiTPAE. I have a 4k monitor and I understand this game was made before 4k. What Do I need to do, to get the game to work properly. It has about a 3 second lag between when I click and when the program responds. It goes into a full screen mode that chops off the sides of the screen and the text is difficult to read.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Are there some compatability changes that I need to make?

It'd probably be best to post this in the tech section. Most likely you are going to have to add some text 'switches' in the target field of the game start shortcut to get it to improve performance.

There is a read-me file in the main game directory that explains how to set up the switches.

If you look in the Tech Section, you will see the SeaBee Alpha thread:

You're indeed correct. If an admin could most the post that would be great. I appreciate the response. I didn't see the read me. I'll make the appropriate changes. My original post was goign to be about changing the map and the proper folders for the putting the files in. However, loading up and looking at the base map lead to the question I should have posted in the technical section.
Apologies...

Not a problem, you just don't know where things are - yet!

Thanks for the assist. I have followed the steps in SeaBee's application (up to and including 27 beta). However when I try to have an icon built. Unless I try 1920x1080 windowed and don't try to change the resolution, the game is giving me grief. I get a large black screen with the game in the bottom right corner of the large black screen. I thought I did a good job of following the instructions and not making them destructions. But, sometimes I can manage to foul things up, pretty well.
