I place some mines on single hex island in the editor. In game playing the island disappear if the resource item is an oil field or mine. - Strategic Command - War in Europe.

Also, could hidden resource center if hidden has no indication of location to opposing forces. Until the hex is occupied or comes into ZOC, or flight "direct" over the hex.
