embarrasing AAR

first try through a whole scenario...16 turn 1st Ukranian front. I found out how important it is to protect your rear area assets...lost 2 out of 3 of my supply trucks and many of my arty units

needless to say I didn't do well, I got off to a slow start and never made up for it, gotta go re-read the part about overrun attacks...

by concentrating my units I was able to punch through the german lines, but the resulting holes in my own lines let the germans come through to wreak havoc on me...nasty AI

The end screen is congratulating me for an axis overwhelming victory, problem is I was playing as the allies :(

LOL!

Yeah with other games I have a hard time working out who's being congratulated for winning sometimes!

You know, I like hearing an AAR like this one, especially since you're playing the game the first time. Nothin' like the first time. :)

Most importantly, there are plenty of us out there in wargame land who aren't the next von Manstein, whether it's in Korsun Pocket or other games. It's nice to read an AAR for a given wargame without the requisite bad-mouthing of the AI; you lost a game, but I'll bet you had more fun than if you had completely trounced the AI in one sure shot.

I have returned to more training to improve my scores before posting another candidate for the worst players club :D

Dont talk to me about embarrassing.. go and have a look at the first AAR that Chris and I played in TAO3 - over at wacht am rhein - with me as the Allies. I invited him to Liege - even set the table served him up dinner.. allied troops :(
