this game is so bad.

how is it programmed to only render from cpu. why is it forcing an entire change of desktop rendering resolution.
why cant i run it in windowed.
is there a way to use dxvk to force it to render via gpu

Your thread title is extremely misleading. There is a separate area on the forum for technical issues.
You can change the resolution to mimic your desktop resolution from within the game preferences. Start a new game and then go to the graphics and resolution section of the preferences menu and you can select desktop resolution.
As for the game itself, I think it's one of the best I've played in a long time.

How does any of that deserve a title of "This game is so bad" ?

Yes i'll ignore the negative vibes
Questions as such are valid.
1. CPU-based graphics are a bit slow, but since there are no animations it doesn't matter that much and allows faster development (for this dev at least) and makes the game work on basically anything.
2. You can choose between changing DPI (does NOT change your desktop res) and actual desktop change (which will be changed back after you quit the game, ideally also when you alt-tab out of it)
3. You can use the windows.txt file to configure the game manually to open in a window.
