Okay, my campaign squad was getting low in money, so I thought I'd fight a couple random battles before advancing. Earn a little money, earn a few XP's, that way I'd go into a fight I know to be tough a little better off.

Well, first random battle was a toughie, I had one titan flat out destroyed, and another busted up pretty bad. I was expecting to lose, but a couple of lucky axe hits later, the AI opponent offered me a draw.
Taking the draw to avoid further damage, I found myself in worse shape then when I started, money still low, and now short 1 titan.

So, back to the random battles I go. I set the map to polar, and the map size to small, as I was using close range titans. Load up the random team (making sure that team size was set to three), and I enter game. It loads for a second, then I get the Draw screen w/o actually seeing the map at all.

Okay, strange, but cool, the 100k payout didn't hurt either, but I really wanted to earn my paycheck, so I tried again, same settings. Again, instant Draw screen again, another free 100k.

(btw, my team was average XP green, so was the AI's team)

Is this behavior intended? If so, this could SERIOUSLY unbalance the campaign mode. Free money, no risk.

It sounds like a big fat bug. The draw flag seems not to be reset.

nod. I'm not trying to find bugs, but apparantly I'm a magnet for 'em.

still and all, this makes for a grand total of 1 definite bug and 1 possible bug I've seen so far. neither of which are truly game breakers, more in the annoyance level. considering the majority of todays titles need a patch right out of the box to be playable, very good job.

seriously, though, I only go to the trouble of reporting things like this about games I like. which is weird, really, I end up complaining more about the titles I actually play, then the ones I don't. uh. oh, nevermind, i shouldn't try posting when I'm half awake.

Getting same bug. Accepted opponent draw in random battle with a normal squad and now every random battle is an instant draw before the battle even starts. Have yet to do any campaigns... only done tutorial and random maps.

Also occurs after loading saved battle from before draw, soon as game loaded battle's a draw and all battles after this as well.

Should I just forget random battles for now? Will campaigns also produce insta-draws?

from what I've seen campaigns should not. and the moment you make any changes to your team (ie who pilots what) it should also clear up the instant draw problem.

Restarting the program should clear the problem.
Each random battle after a draw without exiting will be a draw. Will be fixed in next patch.

I guess this one was missed because we either won or deliberately lost a battle. Map designers mostly wanted to look at the win/loss text to see if they mispselled somthing.
