I'd love to see:
1937 China centric
1938 China centric

1941 Start
1942 The campaign starts
1943 Campaign

Then Alternate History
1946 WW3 War with Soviet Union and Communist China
1941 Hokushin-Ron Japan goes North

I would think Philippines, either Japan aggressor, or the US in 1945. You know who will win, so this would be a logistics and
time event, similar to '1944 The Marianas Campaign'. Dutch East Indies, also.

Meatgrinder type of scenarios,

Wake Island, Tarawa, Peleliu would be similar to the Iwo Jima scenario.
