[WAD] Shooting down 40N6?

Is shooting down the 40N6 missile used by S-400 possible?
I tried unsuccessfully with a couple of US SAM systems: Patriot, THAAD, and a modified AEGIS Onshore equipped with SM-6.
In all the cases, SAMs were not able to lock on the 40N6 when trying a manual attack.

No the 40N6 is a SAM, it can't be engaged by anything

Shooting down SAMs / air-to-air missiles is theoretically possible, but any real-world implementation of such a feat would be extremely classified. So, IMO, no point (yet) in modeling this in CMO.

Of note, I do remember one instance where Israel shot down an S-200 (?) that had missed its target and gone onto a ballistic trajectory, causing their radars to misidentify it as a potential ballistic missile. But that's a missile that was no longer maneuvering or chasing a target. I think the complexity of this sort of engagement is beyond what a civilian simulation could reasonably model.

IIRC only energy weapons like lasers and HEMWs can engage SAMs.

Regular SAM systems can engage SM-6s in their anti-surface mode in game currently.
