I setup some bomb city AD's, well within range and with fighter escorts.
Turned AI assist off.
Missions are not being flown...
Can anyone tell me why?

Not so much from this screen.

When you set up the directive, did you have the No Fly Info box checked in order to make sure there were no obvious issues with the setup?

What do you think?

Did you have proper recon on the city locations?
If the AI thinks there is a 100% damage anyway or no worthy target, it might not launch the raid.
Happened to me a few times.

I think it is the Range or availability of the planes. None of the chosen AOGs can fly those ADs.

Why do you say that? I don't think that's the case, well within range and lots of planes available, in supply.

With the same AD's I put Auto, they don't fly either.

I went back and added recon AD's to the Bomb City targets. Still no Bomb City action...

Your images at least appear to be cut off at the bottom.

It shows 0 mission a/c in the AD creation screen, so turning on Show Air Groups and No Fly Info would hopefully provide a clue as to what's going on.

The bigger issue is too many new players either don't read this part of the manual or fail to understand it's importance. Even some not-so-new players.

Yes I recently bought this game and I read the manual in its entirety. It is the first time I am creating AD's and am having some trouble.
Your attitude is warm and welcoming, really makes newbies want to jump in... (_x_)

What does it show when you click on the No Fly Info? Do you have a save you can zip up and attach here?

BTW, we don't expect anyone to read and digest everything in the 500+ manual. Asking questions is understandable, and welcomed.

There is no such term or similar term in the manual that I can find.

Is it from the Air Doctrine screen, Bomb City tab?

If you look at the picture that M60A3TTS has posted you will see that there is an arrow pointing to a box that says "Show Air Groups", select it and you will see that another box called "No Fly Info" appears on the right, select it as well and it will provide you with information (in pink) about why the different units do not fly.

On the two missions in question, it is beyond escort range.
There is no No Fly Info on the bombs and they didn't fly.

Dropping the fighter escorts from the AD's and the bombers still don't fly.

Not sure what the issue is but the “target priorities” all show zero meaning no valid targets. What happens if you try a GA AD with “railyard” as target?

Tried that. No flights.

Ok, another thing you may want to check is whether you have already assigned the AOGs to another AD. One advantage to using AUTO assignment is that the AI will handle it.
