Raiding ports & Convoy lines?

Post by CaesarAug »

According to the manual, if a convoy line passes through a friendly port, but whose strength is damaged below 5 or is captured, the convoy line is suspended and no supplies get through.

Question: does this likewise apply to the port of origin and/or port of destination of said convoy line? Does anyone know for sure? I would assume so, will play-test…

When you say supplies I assume you mean MPPs. Usually, the convoy line on the map gives you a visual cue of what's happened to it by turning white or disappearing. I think at that point we can safely assume that it has shut down altogether and whatever major power was trying to send those MPPs just keeps them. If it's a colony sending them, they likely disappear.

Yes, I meant the convoy line transfer of MPPs. I was merely asking about how a lower-than-5 strength port of origin and/or port of destination would affect that convoy line.

I can only assume that when a convoy line passes through a lower-than-5 strength friendly port gets suspended, would likewise apply to that convoy line’s port of origin and/or port of destination.

EDIT: Yes, of course, it’s in the manual, page 261.
