I bought Distant Worlds 2 to play via the GeForceNow cloud gaming service, and it was briefly offered, but has been taken off.

Any idea when it will return?

As far as we understand DW2 will not be back on GeForceNow. If you'd like it back on that platform we can suggest requesting GFN to add DW2 back to their platform respectfully.
