Wings of glory on sale. this looks like a good one

Limited planes, small maps, no campaign. Last update more than two years ago. I'll get IL2: Flying Circus and the expansions.

I guess it's OK at 40% off, but I don't see playing it long term.

I like the games you suggest thx, but I'm a turn based strategy nut, I like the wings of glory so far, it may have some limits as you say, but the ability to play wings of glory with an AI turn based is great to me. its personal choice i guess, I wishlisted Skies_above_the_Great_War it may be fun thx again

There are a few YT videos of SATWF if you want to see it.

One game I played over and over was Knights of the Skies by Microprose on my Amiga 1000. But it was a bad port as anytime you dropped a bomb, you took damage.

Avalon Hill put out two WW2 turn based flight games. Achtung Spitfire and Over the Reich.
