The strength of German troops in the winter of 1941

I'm currently playing the 1941 campaign on the new patch. It's January 1942. I don't know what changed, but the German troops are very strong. They are not affected by winter at all. Russian troops are already ridiculous. You can't use them offensively because they are very weak. There are no bonuses related to the winter of 1941/42. I will add that the opponent played poorly with the Germans and the Russian army was in great condition and with the previous versions I could carry out a powerful offensive. This version is impossible because the units are tragically weak and the German ones are very strong... Someone should lose their job for this.

Germans have debuffs in heavy snow hexes. But also Soviets get reduced CV when attacking in bad conditions, you need to not forget about that.

read again what I wrote. Russia cannot conduct any offensive because they are too weak. In fact, Germany can continue to attack because it is much stronger.

Germans are a joke in winter 41. So long they are in heavy snow hexes.
Check the weather you are in but in January 42 there should be heavy snow widespread.
Given - a lot depends if the Soviet player prepared for the offensive. In my last pvp match a while ago in 4 turns 3 German armies got pulverized in 2 months. And yes it was a local attack in just a contiguous sector but even 99% toe fresh from France into a tier3 fort divisions were simply pushed out of the fort abd them they could not maneuver due to 8 mp.

Just checked the save - looks like you have been unlucky with the weather which is why the Germans are not as weak as you'd expect.
They only get the defensive penalties in hexes where the snow level is heavy (8 or 9).
Most of the logistics/attrition penalties apply in hexes where the weather is blizzard.
At the moment this turn and the next are forecast to be 'normal' snow. Hopefully the blizzard front that you have in the NE at the moment will cover more of the front in a couple of weeks.
It is probably worth reviewing Chapter 8 in the Living Manual which details how the weather works and when/how the first winter rules apply.
You are still winning I think - whilst the weather is good the Axis player can come back on the offensive but if the weather turns again in your favour they might find themselves overstretched.

Put the entire Red Army on supply priority 4 and you can turn this around.

I may take a look of that save to find out what's wrong. But what's the password?
