Weren't Matrix Games creating a Cross of Iron game years and years and years ago? Which eventually got scrapped? Was that meant to be a digital representation of Squad Leader Cross of Iron?

There is a COI installment in the Matrix Close Combat series that was released back in 2007. Maybe that was it?

Nope. Not that. It got scraped...never saw the light.

I think it was from a Squad Leader boardgame. I was just watching a video on the Squad Leader and ASL series and it rang a bell in my head.

I'm sure there was huge disappointment over it's cancellation.

the troop on steam is rocking hex based turn based tank warfare like ASL

I belive the best ASL type game is called second front not quite sure of name, but think so

matrix has valor and victory games that are like ASL

there is a good one from matrix heroes of stalingrad, and Lock n Load have some more on steam

it used to be a desert for ASL type games, but its great now

Cross of Iron, really got the ball rolling for Squad Leader.

Sowchos 79 is the best scenario.
