Reconstituted Unit Morale Gain

Hi all.

I've lost PG 90 on the turn 6, and although it sits for a long time (it's turn 25 now) in refit mode on a well supplied hex in the middle of France (Tours to be exact) its morale has only reached to 63. A regiment I lost on t11 still has 52 morale (it shares the same hex with PG 90). From what I read on the manual, distance from the enemy and supply are key issues for morale regain, although they do not guarantee an increase. So I wonder if this slowness in regaining morale is normal, or do I miss something? Currently German morale for ground units is 70.

Unrelated question: Sometimes when I reload, some units have their CVs changed, is this normal?

Thanks in advance.

Proximity to an HQ with high morale is important if you want morale to climb significantly. It sounds like PG 90 isn’t far off the default national morale level. Put it close to an HQ unit with a leader who has a morale level of 8 or 9 and you will see a decent climb.
