Never switch between BTR and ED without first exiting to your PC Desktop.
Never switch between save turns without first exiting to your PC Desktop.
To be safe, always just exit to Desktop when you end the game to clear the game data out of your computer memory - otherwise unpredictable things may start showing up that no one can help you with.
