Question on Justplay

I tried to get a more definate answer in another thread, but was buried somewhat.

Anyway, do Justplay print thier own copies ( in this case KP) or do they import them from the US? This is the only valid and reasonable excuse for the delay in release dates in Europe now running nearly 1 month after US.

Sorry to sound so bitter , but feel a bit betrayed with the delay on this side of the pond.

FYI I recently found out it is only now ,yesterday the 14th that Justplay are shipping them to the distributors for release on the 22nd.

If that is true, this is PRECISELY why I am dissapointed, as there is no valid excuse for time differences in release dates.

just give a thought for players waiting for the game in the country where it was developed.

Europeans will receive it before us Aussies!

Cheers Chris

How do the Aussies get it? have they a distributor over there?

We all pay the money, we all want to play the game, yet Euro's (in my case have a distributor who print thier own copies) have a difference in release dates.

This to me does not seem fair.

It makes me feel like a second class customer to some extent.

I'm very happy with a 3-4 week delay. It makes me feel like a first class customer since Matrix took the time to get us an european distributor that brings the price down for all of us. It's worth the wait.

It seems Pawlocks lowly citizen status is coming to an end.

This just in from usenet:
Picked up a copy in Strategic Plus in Hampton Mddx this morning for 29.95.

Am installing it as I type.

Yes Im moaning, I think I have a valid complaint.

Lets just look at it from another viewpoint, if the boot was on the other foot, can you not imagine many more US board members moaning about the disparity?

All this aside, no doubt once I get the game my dissapointment will ease, but in the meantime reading all the fun people in the Us are having with it is making me envious and miserable because we do have our own distributors.

Hex wargaming has always been a passion of mine, because saying you are a Newbie, 1 recently comes to mind and that is "Strategic Command" by Battlefront com. Its very simple to learn and interface is very good, but its depth is very limited by its overall scope ie it deals with WW2 from perspective of overall command, construction etc.

If want more in depth, and by far more detailed battles then HPS/John Tiller Panzer Campaigns are very good, although IMHO take a lot of getting into.

In fact HPS released thier version of Korsun Pocket about 18 months ago,but to give you an idea of scope as compared to Matrix version, multiply the counters you see on the board by approx 10 to get an idea of the differences in size.

The Matrix version WILL be much more for Newbies, although hopefully just because its user friendly does not mean it will not have depth.

Heres a link to Battlefronts site:

http://www.battlefront.com/index.htm

btw they also do a demo of SC, so you can d/load and try out first if your interested.
