Hi Everyone,

Long time Harpoon CE player here (before the merger with Slitherine I was here under Paulus_PAK nick). Stopped playing CE around 2010-2011 and now I see it is still alive and kicking. Can you tell me, generally, what updates/advances were made with CE engine since then? I remember efforts of @TonyE and @CV32 to revamp Electronic Warfare, database values, etc. Have, for example, the issue of infinite air weapon magazines on carriers and airfields been rectified?

Thanks!

I am redownloading Harpoon as well. I have been playing all my Matrix games on Steam for years and forgot I had an account here. I went through my game list and pretty stoked to remember this one.

Also, there are two updates, v3.11.1 from 2013 and v2022.027 from 2023. Must both be applied in turn or simply apply the newest one?

Thank you gentlemen.

Oops, didn't see this! The updates are for different parts of the product. v3.11.1 is for the Harpoon 2/3/ANW side of the package and v2022.027 is for the Harpoon Classic, Commander's Edition, Ultimate Commander's Edition side of the package. The updates are independent, you do want to install 2022.027 if you play the Classic series. The v.3.11.1 update is a little more contentious in terms of what it breaks vs. what it fixes.

In gory detail rather than generic you can page through the release notes https://harpgamer.com/harpforum/topic/2 ... /#comments

No, a logistics model has not been implemented, however, with the most recent builds it is possible to build a logistics model via addons to the game. That isn't to say it would be an easy effort but half measures like setting soft limits on the player and warning the player when the limits are near is a much less daunting task.
