I started playing Canary's Cage scenario with 1.07.1487 and later saved my game, but after restart the save won't load - loading progress bar doesn't move, the only thing I can do is to close scenario selection window and forcefully quit CMO. The same happens with autosave from that session. Interestingly, an old save (created with the previous version of CMO) from a different scenario loads fine with the new version.

Attaching both my manual save and autosave which both exhibit the problem.

Thanks, indeed it seems the be same problem. I also see ""Data at the root level is Invalid. Line 1, Position 1" error when this happens.

I am having this exact same problem as well with the new update, and I too see the 'Data at the root level is Invalid.

That's interesting. But well, my CMO is from Matrix, not steam. Installed fresh a month ago and upgraded to 1.07.1487 a few days ago, I don't see how it could get corrupted (also, I don't think matrix installer makes it possible to check consistency of already installed files?).

For us thick ones, could you tell us how to fix this please I read the link but its not clear what steps i need to take.

Then I guess that is a generic error displayed when there is a problem in the saving/loading procedure of the game.

Hello Guys, thanks for bringing this to our attention, issue has been identified and fixed, we are working to build an hotfix.
After the hotfix id released, corrupted saves will be loadable without any issue or manual intervention to fix the corruption.

While you wait for the hotfix, I fixed the corrupted saves that you uploaded here so you can continue playing Command.
To prevent the issue from appearing again, you need to play with slug-trails disabled until the hotfix is released.

The same problem was reported in other saves that were not fixed, it happened before the current build, the cause was different?
