I managed to simultaneously research several researches standing one after another in the line of research. As I understand it, it is impossible to research a technology without finishing the research of the previous one.

So I started research physical energy branch at the same time before I researched genetic rewiring.
And also I started research psychic energy detection. But Paranormal Studies isn't researched.
Also I can crash research for psychic energy detection and get this research faster then paranormal studies

Also, just to confirm, does this issue occur when you have multiple concurrent projects researching?

In my opinion it's not a bug, all is right here. It were a bug if you can switch the order of the both techs in research list.
Edit: You can only crash the second tech because the first is also crashed.

No, paid/selection of tech is enough to pay for next tech and this is great elsewhere it were annoying to concate search.

In this video I crash only the second tech. And they done in one time
