Praying Mantis inevitably leads to a Soviet intervention

Alright, I'll say it where it needs to be said. There is a pretty significant issue with the Praying Mantis scenario in that any aggression against the Iranians will cause the Soviets to declare the US hostile.This is most definitely not historical in any way and while I would ask to see this fixed, I understand how difficult fixing such an issue can be so I've taken it upon myself to produce a fixed variant of the scenario that I've attached. Feel free to use it however you please.
