In my mod, I added Tiger II to the OOB starting for the 101st Heavy Tank Battalion—OK—but....On the very first turn, the game swaps them out for regular Tigers. The game should not downgrade to inferior equipment once upgraded unless none of the new equipment is available—sorry, but it's silly.

Did you change the OB of the unit to call for the Tiger II? It looks like the OB calls for Tiger Is until the June 44 OB arrives. Not saying that's all that's going on, but probably is a big factor.

Game engine may behave different with an upgrade path from Tiger I to Tiger II but that one is missing
