Can we get a "Disable Arachnids" option

I spend so much time generating the type of planet I want then renaming my faction and leader, flag ect just to end up with Arachnids next to me which I am not interested in.
Can we just get a check box on start options. I liked the game without them.

Is there a certain hint during the colonization step that eludes to Arachnids being on the planet before you start the game?

Those of us who enjoy fighting spiders have to reroll 33% more and those of us who hate em can reroll 33% less

Yeah, the more I play the game again recently the more that the biggest thing that stands out as needed.... is sliders for planet generation that cover all these things.

Vic has said sliders are simply not on the cards - the planet generation was fundamentally designed to be like rolling a D&D character. Changing that now would be an unreasonable diversion of resources.
I've gotten used to arachnids - even a line a early infantry will hold them until you tech up to start pushing them back. I like they are a different problem to other regimes you have to deal with.
