Gun-Launched Missiles

I wasn't able to get the M60A2 to launch it's missiles at targets. I've run a number of test scenarios including with the loadout altered to include no HEAT rounds for the main gun and the tanks still refuse to fire missiles at enemy tanks. Enemy tanks were T-55A for the test scenarios. After those tests I went ahead and modified the range of the missile under the munitions tab to see if the missile having a longer maximum range than the gun would allow for the tank to engage. No luck, the M60s still refused to fire. I finally got it working when I changed the munition type to HEAT instead of ATGM (In the data file, leaving all other data alone). Now they engage with the missiles in addition to the rounds from the main gun.

Thanks for reporting this, and even going beyond that by checking the behavior for variations of the current set-up.
I filed this as a bug.

Did you have any luck with Soviet tank gun launched ATGMs?

Just ran the same set of tests with the T-80U[M] with Refleks missile against M48A5. Same results, they will not engage with missiles even if the missile is the only available ammunition. If the munition type for the Refleks is switched to HEAT they engage as soon as the M48s are in range.

I also tried attaching a TOW missile on the M60A2 separate from the gun, they won't launch missiles with that either.

That's definitely a bug in the code, as the ATGM mention type is a valid type and should be processed in the munition selection based on the round's HEAT value, not the munition type. We will dig into the code and fix this, as the data should be good as is. Thanks for testing and posting the problem.
