I’m trying tutorial 1 and instructions tell me to shift click recon squadron but it doesn’t register that. I then right click and move diliberate to 2 waypoints but it doesn’t register with a move path even after clicking next turn. What gives ???

Left-clicking on a single unit will select it, and then you can issue orders. Shift-clicking on additional units will select them, and a group order can be given. Shift-Clicking an already selected unit will unselect it. Shift-clicking additional units helps move groups of units or issue hold or screen orders to units in defensible locations. You can atl-click an HQ to select it and all of its subordinate units to issue orders to them. This is handy for issuing group movement orders. Once you decide on a movement order, you place waypoints along the path of travel for the units. To complete the order, a dialog pops up where you select the end order state for the unit(s).

Thanks Capn. I shift click on both recon units in front which gives a yellow highlight on units then I'm right clicking to place both waypoints which brings up menu and iI click screen for final waypoint. I then click paths in bottom menu and and it does not show paths and original recon units still show screen in original location. I have reinstalled game on Steam and verified files but still not working. Help !!

Try this:
1. Select one of the Recon units.
2. Shift select a second recon unit that is nearby.
3. Right-click one highlighted recon unit to bring up the Orders menu.
4. Select Deliberate move and place your waypoints.
5. On the End-State Dialog, select Screen.

Both units should plot paths to the objective.

In the options, see if the Show Friendly Movement Paths is on.

Thanks Capn but it only works intermittently. I place mouse cursor over nato icon and after delay it brings up both units but when I click on non active unit it will not select it. I did all those steps and it is not working like it should. Wish I could give you remote access to my computer to troubleshoot it. I never had issues with Red Storm. Just wish I can play this!!

Most of the time mouse clicks dont even register and I've messed around with game settings!!

Capn the forum went down so coudn't reply. Maybe Remote PC would be better ?

We have zoom, you won't need it. It will work via web client for you. I don't have a camera either You just need speakers and a microphone to chat.

I have head phones with built in microphone. Will that work ? When are you thinking ? I am retired. Thanks again !

Hey Capn. Sent you a PM. Think I found a workaround until patch. I changed high dpi setting on game exe from application to system setting. So far no delays in clicking
