I was doing the silent service and have to stay 1nm from the kiev so i made a reference point 1 nm relative to the cag and uh it referenced to the kiev icon that was preplaced for the area to look for some reason is there a way to to follow a enemy ship like with the reference point and making it relative to the enemy?

You can add an RP tied to any ship.


Is that what you mean? You question isn't very clear.

I believe (from a long time ago) that thewood1 suggested that you could assign a unit to attack (Engage Offensive) a unit, but place its weapons on hold. I tried it and an it worked. (This was before the assigning of the RP thing had been created.) I have never used the RP thing (it sounds like it works) but I do know that this method also works. I have used this for planes which are set on Intercept Missions and respond when an unknown plane enters their assigned air space. The planes scramble, intercept the other plane (or in your case sub), but do not fire at it. This is just an alternative. I'm sure that thewood1's method is better.
