Summer 1940.
The French Capital has moved Bordeaux from Paris.
British have HQ in Bordeaux and some surrounding units.
Germans & Italians capture Lyon and/or some other significant cities.
France surrenders.
Allied turn.
There's now an Italian Army in Bordeaux.
There's also an Italian Corp Southeast of Bordeaux.
British HQ, has been Raptured.
Raptured is defined by gone, in the Clouds (Beam me up Scotty).

My guess, the Italians/Axis had alot of units in the Vichy ZOC.
After the surrender, those units just moved on top of mine.

Ugly, I don't see the HQ as KIA.
She gone.

Probably both. I'm not familiar with exactly how units get kicked out. Ideally they would be placed somewhere not on top of another unit, but the logic for that could be complex.

I think any unit in Bordeaux 'surrenders' when France falls. Similar to units in Tunis or Damascus surrendering. I have seen it in lots of games. Allied units in North West France (e.g. the ports) survive to fight on.

The game then moves any Axis units in newly formed Vichy to occupied France or Italy. If they are close enough to Bordeaux they sometimes move there. That's what happened in our game (firsteds v elvis). There was an Italian army close by and it was moved to Bordeaux. I did receive a message saying 'HQ surrendered'. Popped some champagne.

Perhaps surrendered units don't appear in the KIA list?
