As best I can tell the 31st PG (later FG) moved to Europe, whereas the 35 PG was actually in the pacific and contained the 39, 40 and 41 PSs. In the game the unit assigned to the SW pacific (II fighter command early in the game looks to be misnamed).

I have been away from the game for some time because of illness and interruptions but am getting back into it and looking at little details as I move units across the map and happened to come across this. Comments welcome. Am I confused about these P39 squadrons?

The 31st Pursuit Group will eventually rename in 1942 as the 35th Pursuit and later 35th Fighter Group.
