Zoom level too small

It seems to me that the biggest zoom level is smaller than it used to be. Is there anyway to make the icons and units larger, besides windows magnifier? It has been a long time since I last played the game.
I have not had this problem with other Matrix games. For example, Field of Glory Kingdoms has a zoom level that is large enough to read everything easily, and is the same as it has always been.
That said, I am finding the Paraguay scenario to be fascinating and challenging. This system works very well for this period.

Although it can be inconvenient for other programs lowering your computer's display resolution while playing the game will have the effect of making all the icons, counters and art appear larger. However, it can give you a bit of tunnel-vision though.

For the best results make sure to change the game's video mode settings to the same resolution as the computer display.

That said, I am finding the Paraguay scenario to be fascinating and challenging. This system works very well for this period.
Game setting of 1680X1050 works best for me on my 2560X1440 monitor. I also have my custom scale and layout text set to 225 in display settings. See if this helps. Only downside is when you play the game it messes up your desktop sizing if you alt tab in and out...
