My friends and I have been playing the Combat Mission series for 20 years. In the last few days I activated CMBN so I now have it on Steam and still have my Battlefront version.
If I buy Battle Pack 2 will the scenarios appear on both versions or only on the Steam version?
We play PBEM by either sending the move file as an attachment on an email or if the file is too large, use Dropbox. How does PBEM work on the Steam version?

The files for the steam version will be a completely different location than the ones that exist with the battlefront or Matrix versions. This includes the location of the the incoming and outgoing email folders. I think you can do whatever it was you were doing with pbem before except the location of the game folders and email folders are in a different location on your drive.

It can get very confusing at first but you now need to stick with one version or the other. But do not remove the old version until after you have copied over all of your custom scenarios and other projects and saved games.

I learned this the hard way and lost a couple hundred hours of work on a custom CMBN scenario that I was developing.
