[WAD + KNOWN] Mine Laying

In the save file provided (It's the Mining Tutorial mission) The MSC 412 Addriyah ship is assigned to a Mine Laying Mission.
1. It drops mines but always has 80 x Moored Mine M-08s. It never expends any.
2. The Mining Pattern settings in the Mission Editor don't seem to do anything. I can put whatever numbers I want in them and the mine pattern doesn't change.
3. It would be nice to know what these Mining Pattern settings are. The manual has no reference to them.

From what I can tell this is WAD *mostly*. If I run your save the ship does eventually start laying mines but it sails pretty far until it does, I think this has something to do with the amount of coverage that its being asked to do with not enough mines, plus there is another ship on the same mission so they need to deconflict. The mining pattern settings are working, the ships are laying mines in groups of 3 with 500ft in-between them, you can use the in game ruler to check this. However the group interval doesn't seem to be respected in this case as the distance between them is much greater than 1000ft. Once again I think it has something to do with the huge area they have to mine though.
We'll look into the method and group interval issues, for now I recommend creating a smaller more concentrated mining area for each ship.

You mention the mission area often as being too large but this is the Mining Tutorial that comes with the game. I still don't understand the parameter settings on the Mission Editor screen. Also, when I reload this save and replay it I get different behaviors each time; sometimes the qty of moored mines on board is expended sometimes it stays at 80 or the pattern changes even though i don't anything in Mission Editor. So sadly, I can't generate a proper bug report because no part of this feature is repeatable for me. But if this is WAD *mostly* I'll move on.
