OK, I have been able to discover what the Carrier Strike Group is and the ships in it for an upcoming scenario for the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

What I can't find are details on what else is in the Fifth.

Can anyone point me to the correct resources for this without tapping into classified information? I don't want a visit by the FBI over a game.

5th Fleet used to have some patrol craft permanently assigned, but they have all been decommissioned by the USN. I think one or two of the ESBs permanently assigned but that's it. Unlike all the fleets, it has never had major sea combatants assigned to it permanently.

Even the carrier group gets chopped between 5th and 6th fleets. Ever since Russia invaded Ukraine, the carriers have tended to stay in the Eastern Med rather transiting Suez for the Arabian Sea/Gulf of Oman area.

According to the OOB project I'm working on, the only permanently assigned forces in the 5th Fleet are Naval Surface Squadron 5, with 4x Avenger class mine countermeasures vessel:
MCM-3 USS Sentry, MCM-6 USS Devastator, MCM-11 USS Gladiator, MCM-13 USS Dextrous
All based on Naval Support Activity Bahrain, located at 26 12 35N, 50 36 35E.

Note that this data is from Wikipedia and may be out of date, but given the ever present Iranian threat, it's not unlikely these are indeed still based there.

If you are trying to reflect a current accurate OOB then your best bet is probably to look at USN news/photos and see what ships are in the 5th Fleet's AOR.
