Resupplys and movement points

Hello Folks,
I'm trying to ascertain how many MPs a unit loses when trying to resupply. Perhaps this is akin to "how long is a piece of string?". If so, then when is it a good time to put supply priority to zero?
I say this, as I want to maximise MPs for my armoured units. I am on T3 of the GC. I have created the Lvov pocket and pushed 1st PzG between Vinnystia and Kiev. I want to take Kiev on T4 and rest them on T5 for resupply, refit and CPP gain. Supplies are between 70% and 85% for all, albeit some units have fuel at a lower level. I feel that I could turn resupply off for this one turn and have my units with higher MPs for the final push to Kiev.
Is this something that is possible?
