Battleground Italy OOB question

I´m trying to play the Battleground Italy scenario as close as possible to the historical deployment and OOB.
The BR V Corps was part of the British 8th Army, and although they did not take part in Operation Husky, they did join it for the fight on mainland Italy later on.

In the game, though, the BR V Corps is attached to the US 5th Army, which will be sent to Salerno for Operation Avalanche.
I know I can move it to the UK 8th Army by myself but I was wondering why that is not already the case in the game.

The only reason I can think of would be that if they are part of the UK 8th Army but are left in Africa, they will be more than 15 hexes away from their HQ, and that will negatively affect them in terms of supply, morale, etc. It´s better to leave them as part of the US 5th Army and, when the time comes, move them to the UK 8th Army.

Is that it or are there other reasons for it?

I appreciate any replies.

This probably would have been an excellent question to pose back in 2014 when this game first came out. However, the developers and scenario authors who could best answer it don't seem to be active much on this forum as of late. :|

Good point.
I´m just 10 years late!
I played the game years ago but never had the time to get as involved as I have now. And I´m having a blast, by the way.

I was thinking of sending Trey a message but I´m not sure I want to bother him with that.

I am guessing since it was part of the OOB for the Salerno Invasion, it was placed there. and then transferred back to the 8th Army once the invasion moved past a certain point.

I have not seen the game, do these historical transfers.

You can check the commanders also.
