Falklands DLC SAS High Explosive Use

Scenario is Pebble Island Raid. I have 4 SAS units and 1 SBS unit that are supposed to attack an airfield. All units are equipped with high explosives (C4) among other weapons. First off, the high explosives have a range of 8nm, which doesn't seem right. But if I use them, the using unit dies as soon as I order them to attack anything. There is an explosion on the target. But the SAS/SBS units immediately die. I can't figure out if this is a bug, or if I'm not doing this properly.

To reproduce:

Open Falklands Scenario 8. (Pebble Island Raid.)
Select an SAS unit. (They are already in C4 range of the targets.)
Select a manual attack.
Allocate the explosives to any red land target.
Start the simulation.

Thanks in advance for any insight anyone can provide. If this indeed seems to be a bug, let me know and I'll open a thread on the Tech Support forum.

I've posted the same problem as you (strange behavior of land units), with a saved game, at tech support !
