Pre combat CV display

This is about the combat prediction that shows up when you select a combat.
For motorised units, sometimes the CV is much reduced from what I think it should be - is there a reason or something I am missing here ?
For the Romanian Tank division, it's map CV is 14.
However the combat prediction CV is 2.9. It is a hasty attack so it is going to be down, however this is less than half the minimum value I would expect.
When the combat is executed, which was a deliberate attack, the CV is 30.
Half of 30 is 15, should the predictor not be around that ?

Some more examples of low values from last week.
Have only seen this with Mot, Mech and Panzer units.

Even more interesting is that the Flampanzer Bats have a cv of 50+ whilst the Runm Arm Div is only 30. Very early use of napalm??

The CV predictor does not consider attached SUs.

None of numbers quoted here include SUs, if they should then that is a separate issue.

Only if the SU was attached during the turn. SUs that started the turn attached to the unit are ignored by the CV predictor. Here's a Pz regiment that had a FlammPz SU attached, before and after removing the FlammPz:

Only if the SU was attached during the turn. SUs that started the turn attached to the unit are ignored by the CV predictor. Here's a Pz regiment that had a FlammPz SU attached, before and after removing the FlammPz:

The situation with the 1st Rum Armored Div is clearly due to the attached units not getting counted into the predictor. I downloaded your latest save and can confirm that is what's going on. In my tests, none of the attached support units (whether previously attached or newly attached) are counting in the predictor values. Not sure why that is, could be an oversight on our part.
As for the other screenshots, I can't comment because I don't have saves for that (some have PzGrd divisions so must be a different game). Other factors can alter the predictor values, such as rolling over an enemy hex with dense terrain that weakens AFVs.
Flame tanks are worth 9 CV versus 7 CV for light tanks in the armored division, and tanks are the lion's share of the CV value in the units. So yes, the Crack support battalion with more CPP and less fatigue than the panzer division is worth as much in CV value in this case. How they actually fight in battle is a different calculation.
