Operation Starlite reinforcements

Hi folks, I've just received a stack of reinforcements out to sea in the Starlite scenario. There are so many in the stack I can't move any transports into the hex to pick them up. When I attempt to, I get an exceeds maximum strength points message.
Is there any way around this problem? Or do I have to reduce the reinforcements until I can enter the hex?

P.S. the hex currently has 30 strength points in it including the original fixed transport. I don't know what the maximum number of strength points allowed in a hex is as I can't find this in the manual. I'm assuming when reinforcements are brought in the maximum SP allowed in a hex is ignored. So this wouldn't cause a problem on land as units can just move out of the hex.

Hello Chris, I am typing this from work, but iirc stacking limits are 24 SP and 6 units (Leader / command post units do not count). And yes, I do recall that reinforcements can cause overstacked hexes.
Is it possible to take a unit from the overstacked hex to next hex, and load it there?
Jason's on a much deserved R&R but once he returns I will point this out to him.

Thanks Crossroads. I have LVTPs in an adjacent hex but I can't find a way to move any units into them from the overstacked hex (in fact I destroyed one of the LVTPs in my various attempts at this

). This is such a shame as it's been a good PBEM scenario for the past six weeks.
If the scenario gets an update I would also suggest that the American player is informed about the need to use existing LVTPs and other transports to pick up later reinforcements in the briefing. I knew reinforcements were arriving but I assumed they would arrive with their own transports. Obviously a real commander would be aware of logistical requirements like this. By the time a game event message mentions this requirement my LVTPs were far in land supporting the first wave.

I for one almost always use the Place all units button to just be done with reinforcements, I have found out that is not always a good idea as I find myself overstacked, or other wise in a not optimal state. That said, with bigger scenarios, it is almost a must, otherwise it would take too long a time at least for a guy with my patience /laughs.
I would be happy to have a loot at your save file. If you want please send over to my gmail Crossroads dot cslegion.

Thanks for reporting this Chris.
As it is, you indeed can't embark those marines at the moment if the stacking limits are all used. With helicopters we anticipated this in a manner that they do not count towards stacking limits, but with naval units, that is not the case.
To alleviate this, I prepared a version of the map where there's shallow water around those hexes so you can load up. I have emailed the map file to you.
This was just in time for the coming 2.00 update as well, the updated map will appear there too as a work-around, until we figure out how to account for situations like this.
