Any word on a fix/patch/whatever for the copy protection?

I'd love to get a chance to play this game, but so far, it refuses to load.

Hi Bakaneko

We have our copy protection company looking into this and they need a little time to see what are options are. I should have something for you in a next day or so.

Bakaneko: try google.

normally I wouldn't advise this, but if you actaully paid money for this game, and said game then refuses to run because of the copy/protection, I see no moral problem with you going out and getting a no cd patch for said game.

I have to do this with, like, about 20% of the new games I buy nowadays.

I have to watch myself, I tend to rant about this. I find it more than a bit reprehensible when a scheme designed to stop piracy actually causes people who PAID money not to be able to use the product they bought.

It kinda dims even a great game like this, when these type of complaints pop up.

(side note: ya know, instead of a cd-ROM based copy protection, ya know what works wonders if you MUST have copy protection? A little cd key serial number stuck to the cd case. no possibility of hardware conflicts, and works just about as well without ******* off a significant portion of your customers.

not that any kind of copy protection thus far stops pirates more than five minutes, shrug.)

EDIT: and as a further side note, and one that will probably get my banned and/or flamed, if you really can't find one, I have one.

lessee, wait a few days for customer support to sort out this mess, or go out, grab a crack, and actually play the game today. decisions.)
