Hi. I'm on build 1527.1 playing operation sallyport 2029. all the a/c I've launched assigned to the ferry mission take off and immediately speed up to full even though the mission editor has the speed set to cruise. i can manually F2 the speed from full to cruise but this must be done one plane at a time.

thanks,
scott

This may be because the A/C need to go to full power to reach their destination with enough fuel

I dont believe so they run out of fuel long before they get to their destination. that was how i noticed this issue they started dropping out of the skyl

You need to include the missions with the save so I can see where you're trying to ferry them to. It just sounds like its out of range for them if they are running out of fuel part way there

hi, i just assumed the mission info was in the auto save zip file. there are two a/c left in Williamstown on the southeast coast of Australia I'm ferrying all the fighters to RAAF Tindal in northwest Australia. There are 2 fighter remaining at Williamstown just assign them to either ferry mission and right after they launch they speed up to full power even though cruise is set as ferry throttle speed. I've zipped up the full save and attached it I don't know any other way to include the mission/editor to this post.

thanks,
scott

FWIW: I noticed the same issue with creating a new scenario and creating a simple ferry mission. When my settings create a flight with two units, only one unit gets added to the flight, and the other goes bonkers. Having 12 units in the mission, 6 get assigned to a group, and 6 flies at full speed to the destination. Hopefully they're part of the same bug. I'm new to the game, trying to figure out missions, and I've spent most of the day before coming to this same conclusion.

Two things up front for someone new to the game...

1) Unless you are absolutely sure you are reproducing the same issue, create a separate thread.

2) Always post a save, if possible. Anecdotal stories about stuff you have seen don't do much.

These are part of the pinned thread on how to ask for help.

Ill need a save because I'm not sure what you mean by "your settings"

Thanks

Respectfully, that does not make sense.

The 'Cruise' setting should be defined to give best range. If what you said is true, the performance curves should be adjusted in the DB.
