Shows three different approaches to air intercepts. Really does a great job of contrasting different approaches.

Agreed! He’s the reason I play, as his videos helped me learn the game. He does top notch tutorial production and honestly should be part of the developers team of people.

He does a lot of the official videos and collaborated on the community doc that part of a manual update.

P Gatcomb's videos are really very useful. The only small problem for someone who doesn't have English as his mother language is his fast speaking.I also want to note that the Strike-Air intercept mission(opportunity scrambling) doesn't launch automatically anymore unless you set the target as hostile(or add it to the target list).

Please help here. I try to recreate the last intercept variation in the video (before patrol) where no targets are assigned and the planes take off on their own when a contact appears. I cannot do it. Planes simply do not take off.

I just went through the entire video and had no issues with the automatic intercept mission or the patrol zone mission. There's obviously some randomness to it, but all within reason. I would suggest slowing down the video and stepping through the sequence very slowly.

I think that air interception(without assigning targets) works OK.The interception that doesn't seem to work automatically(no target assignment) is the ASW one.

Well the guy never responded so I assume he figured out what he was doing wrong.

Thanks for the replies. Truth is that sometimes it works and sometimes not. And I believe that I am doing the same steps all the time.
