What a wonderful wargame

I'm not entirely sure why this game isn't getting more attention, it is literally a dream come true for this 58 year old "Cold Warrior"! The ability to dynamically generate a fun scenario with just a few mouse clicks is outstanding. It's like a toy box full of all my favorite old 80's equipment.

Finally, I'm able to see my beloved Jagdpanzer Kanone's (aka "Sons of Hetzer") engage T-62's and...do pretty damn good with those HEAT rounds!

The addition of 3D makes this THE indispensable Cold War grand tactical wargame that many of us have been waiting for these past 40 years. So much easier to play than Combat Mission Cold War (which I also love, but anything above company level is a chore - you pretty much have to be retired and have a lot of time on your hands).

THANK YOU.

Great to hear this!!

I enjoyed AB1, but a big reason why I have not gone for AB2 yet was I'm worried about struggling with Line of Sight in a 3D game.

It's "easy" enough in 2D with a LOS tool telling you what what, how does it work in 2? I hate eyeballing stuff...

Line of site tool appears to be exactly the same as AB.
The main differences are improved graphics and the option to view in 3D.
Personally I liked AB but find AB2 easier to use from a sighting perspective.

You never even have to go to 3D. AB2 is just as playable as AB1 at 2D
