TWEAK: Improvements on ship/submarine maneuvering defense against torpedoes

Can someone please elaborate?

It looks like it's some combination of radial evasion and trying to get out of the way of the torpedo's search cone. I've seen it both work and fail spectacularly.

The only change from the previous version is that the unit in defensive maneuvers, once it decides the action to take, takes a little longer to change action. In some tests the ship started to spin around seeming to decide between two opposite actions, that's why this tweak has been tested. And yes, there are perfect evasions and others that are not so perfect. We'll keep an eye on it

If you have any particular test scenario where the ship maneuvers wrong or shows an erratic behavior, please share it.

Can someone explain this in plain English, please? I am afraid diagram is not easily understood (by me at least)
