CMO: Game freezes for several seconds

I am running CMO version 1527. In almost all scenarios, even in very small ones with just 2 airplanes, I observe regular freezes which last for a couple of seconds and happen every minute or so. During the freeze, I cannot zoom/move the map, sometimes even the mouse is not responding, also the time counter stops.
I am running a 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-12100F 3.30 GHz with 16 GB RAM and a RTX 3050 graphics card. CPU utilization is less than 10% before the freeze.
I tried closing all apps in the background, running CMO in administrator mode etc, but no significant change.
Any ideas what I can do..? I have no issues with other games.
Thanks, Thomas

Can you check in the Game Settings the "Log debug information to file", and reopen Command and start playing a scenario? Then you can check again the ExceptionLog, it should contain more info on the initialization and maybe some Exceptions that help us to know what's happening.
Are you running Command from Steam or from Matrix installer? If it's from Steam, can you run a validation check?
Does the use of different map layers make any difference?
Thank you

1. Please find attached the extended log file
2. I am running CMO via Steam
3. I did the validation check, no difference
4. I deactivated all maps, no difference.
Here is a video of a couple of minutes of a very small scenario. As you can see, there are several freezes which last up to 5 seconds (starting at minute 1:20):

Thanks for the clarifications, can you attach the scenario of the recording? (You will need to zip it in order to attached to the forum)

Its a scenario from Steam Workshop (The first of the "Play Along" Tutorials from P. Gatcomb), but I can attach a saved version.
Please note that the freezes occur in all scenarios, not just in this particular one. I chose it because it is a simple one, with few units.

This is going to sound cliche but can you try reinstalling the game? I'm unable to reproduce your issue even with the small scenario you provided. It could be that something went wrong when you were updating or an old file is still there

Yeah sure, will try!

So I tried a fresh new installation of the game, and I also purchased process lasso to free up as many CPU resources as possible. As you can see on the graph, there are still a couple of freezes (drop down in responsiveness - red curve), even if the CPU load is less than 50%. For me it seems that the asynchronous programming of CMO is not done in a proper way, but I might be wrong.

I have not seen this particular issue in my usual scenarios. Might be a good idea to run CMO with as few other apps in the background as possible. I'm not sure CMO is the root cause of the issue.
btw, an amateur guess...those almost look like either RAM swapping or disk access slow downs.

CMO is the only game I have this issue with..I run a lot of CPU and GPU intense games on this PC, and I may get low FPS, but never a system freeze where I cannot move the mouse.

OK. But do you have other apps running in the background?
btw, saying you run other game means nothing. "Other games" might have a completely different architecture, not be as CPU-intensive, RAM hungry, single-threaded, etc.

Also, be very careful with Process lasso. I used to used it almost religiously until a several years ago. I ran several tests with CMO and found Windows 11 did a better job managing CPU loads and process priorities than I did fiddling around with Process Lasso.

With the new update 1567.6, are you still seeing the freezes?
