I have manually alt + ctrl + delete all the past Campaign Series Vietnam old version from my computer. But since I was manually deleting them instead of doing it through the Uninstaller, the game now keep saying I have the past version on my computer. And I cannot press on the Uninstall button on the prompt.

I have looked carefully and delete every single thing Campaign Series Vietnam related file on my computer. Yet I still cannot install the game. I don't know what to do now. Please help me out!

I cannot install the new game too, I have the following message at the end of the instalation:
Please insert disc#2 or 3, cannot find the path....

I have tried many times, always the same message.

There might be a few reasons why this is happening, so please make sure to follow these steps and see if this resolves your issue:

1. Download the setup installer from the CSVN File Downloads section in the My Page part of the Matrix website. When we initially released the installer it was missing a part of the exe. There are supposed to be 2 files in this setup installer zip file. It's possible you downloaded the incomplete zip file before we resolved the issue.
2. Make sure to fully unzip the setup installer zip folder and then run the installer. The notification you see requesting a second disk refers to the 2nd part of the exe, which it should automatically detect if you've fully unzipped the file.

Hmm, you might have to go to the folder and delete that file manually.

I'm not sure what that file is, I don't have it in my installation.

Are you getting this error while uninstalling a previous version of Vietnam or is this during installation?

Just to make sure that there aren't installation issues - please make sure to do a complete uninstall of Vietnam, by running the installer and then manually removing the root folder for Vietnam, usually found here: \Matrix Games\Campaign Series Vietnam. Once you have done this, run the 2.00.01 installer.

Try reinstalling the original version (in the link above) and then let the remaster uninstall it.

it didn't work for me.
maybe it's only the update and not the Game exe?

The update doesn't include the lua5.1.dll file (nor the full install of the game).

So it is confusing what that file is and where it came from.

I would do the following process.

1. Click on the download link I provided above

2. Unzip the file.

3. Install the 1.30 CSVN

4. Use Windows ADD/REMOVE to uninstall the 1.30 CSVN

5. Go to the installation location and delete the entire folder which should be at C:/Program(x86)/Matrix Games/Campaign Series Vietnam

6. Reinstall the 1.30 CSVN

7. Download and UNZIP the 2.00 CSVN update. (this should be unzipped and there should be two files in the folder it unzips to)

8. Run the 2.00 CSVN and let it uninstall the 1.30 CSVN and install.

I once ran into an issue where I did some manual deletion of the game and then couldn't install anything else because registry entries left, doh, and accordingly all the installers thought the game was still installed. To utterly and completely uninstall everything related to CSV I used a thing called Revo Uninstaller. Very easy to use, free version, worked a treat. Once everything was removed by that program I was able to do a fresh install no probs.

I must have a corrupted file somewhere.

Reinstall the v1.32

Uninstall with REVO

Then download and unzip 2.00

Install 2.00

Always uninstall app and never delete them first. When an app installs it creates entries in the registry that can not just be deleted. Well you could, but if you don't know what your doing your system may never boot up.
