Subject: Bug Report - Land Strike Msns not launching
Version: 1567

Description:
Aircraft tasked on Strike Missions vs land targets do not launch against assigned targets. If the player attempts to launch the Strike manually, aircraft will take-off but will not proceed towards targets. This only happens with Strikes vs land targets; Air Intercepts and Naval Strikes appear to be working as designed.

Frequency:
Appears to affect every Strike Msn vs land targets.

Steps to Reproduce:
1 - Create a Strike Msn with appropriate aircraft; in the attached scen, there are a variety of different birds with different loadouts - H-6s, Tu-22Ms, Su-34s, S-70 UCAVs etc.

2 - Assign land targets to the mission; in the attached scen, the targets are an airbase (Groom Lake AFB/Area 51) in Nevada.

3 - Assign naval targets to a different Strike mission; in the attached scen, there is a MOB that is a target.

4 - Run the scen; in this case, SEAD, CAP and Naval Strike missions all work correctly but no land Strike Msns ever launch.

You need to update/generate the flight plans for the strike missions and it will work, some aircraft like the SU-34's are never going to take-off though because they're way out of range. I recommend splitting this attack up into multiple missions as you have a ton of aircraft assigned to hitting the same targets at different ranges with different weapons, it makes it pretty messy

There is a bug though in that it will warn you that some aircraft like the TU-95's can't reach their target even though they're well within range (they take-off anyway thankfully). Were looking into it

Kind of...
I've attached an updated scen with less aircraft launching and multiple Strike Msns. My observations on 1567.6 are:
1 - Most assigned aircraft launch to conduct their Strike missions, but not all.
2 - AC, especially the S-70 UCAVs seem to spend 5-15mins of game time loitering just north of their base before heading towards' their targets.
3 - Multiple types of AC don't launch all of their ordinance towards the targets, mostly guided missiles. LGBs mostly seem to be working OK.

A screenshot of the loitering issue that I'm referencing in the post above. Note that this is approx 16-17 mins into the scen when the strikes launched at the beginning.

Is there a LUA command to generate the flight plans? I'm having the same issue, attached is an example scenario.

The two sides start off with status UNFRIENDLY, then I change it to HOSTILE via LUA randomly during the first 2 hours of scenario. I have two strike missions on the PLAAF side; one with no targets and the other with designated targets. The aircraft on the former mission will launch, while the one in the latter do nothing.
