2 games in question:

PBEM game during the game, i got a crash with the following error message: failed (draw_unit_strength_value_to_buffer):

2nd game:

I have a PBEM 1946 scenario. Keeps crashing when I click on a unit, says "segmentation violation." this does not happen (yet) other scenarios. Happened 3 times in one turn, I'm afraid to try to continue as it will appear to the servers that I'm reloading, cheating. Any help appreciated. Challenge ID 477120.

This is the non-steam version.

I have no graphical mods enabled and I don't use the 3d icons. it only happens in this one game, 1946, which does have different graphics. i played 3 turns of hotseat with no problems. 475862 is the game ID.

This game is an add-on that comes with the game. Note that i've had this same error before in all my SC games (civil war and ww2 global). in the other instances, it has only happened when showing the final board after the game is finished, so i have just ignored the problem.

any help appreciated.

We will fix this for the next patch, but to work around this for now, navigate to the following folder (Matrix install):

\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Strategic Command WWII - War in Europe\Community Pack\Campaigns\_World War Three May 1946\Bitmaps

Or this folder if on Steam:

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Strategic Command WWII War in Europe\Community Pack\Campaigns\_World War Three May 1946\Bitmaps

Then delete the file called 'unit_strength_values_sprites.png'

This should resolve the issue as that file for the mod is not compatible with the latest version of the game.

This should fix the draw_unit_strength_value_to_buffer issue, and likely the other one too
