Annoying Paths still going on!

Platform: Steam
Build version: v1.2.9.3 (Beta) + Expansion and all DLCs
Severity: Medium
Annoyance factor: Through the roof!
Saved game:
I’ve ordered my “3 - Trassetan Defense” fleet to defend (guard) the Se’Claata 4 mining station (in the Se’Claata system), which is being attacked by the Boskara’s 2nd Fleet. But instead of taking the direct route, it’s going through a big detour, despite the destination being well within its jump and fuel ranges!
Since protecting the Sa’Claata 4 mining station is one of my current war missions, I had already sent my “Oldies” fleet to protect it. It’s almost there, but since it’s about the same strength as the Boskara fleet, it needs reinforcement as soon as possible. Using the direct route, the “3 - Trassetan Defense” fleet might get there in time. But not if taking the detour.
And no matter what I try to send it at Sa’Claata 4, the game refuses to use the direct path.
Super annoying!
When a fleet is given an order which results in it going somewhere, shouldn’t it first look for a direct route within its fuel and jump range, instead of looking for jump points all over the place?
